The Most Important Sentence on Your Website and How to Write it

There is one sentence that trumps the rest.  It’s the one that gives you and your clients clarity, permission and direction.

What is this mother load?!!

It’s your BRAND BIO :: What you do + who you serve.  

Go through the exercise below to write it in a clear + captivating way

First of all… what are you calling yourself?

Ex..Life Coach, Business Mentor, home organizer, Social Media Strategist, Personal Stylist, Travel Blogger, Wedding Photographer, etc….

Use words your clients already know, don’t get creative with your title (i.e. transition coach/ Mindset mentor).  Clients know… life coach, business mentor, home organizer, website designer, wedding planner.

Next up… Who has this problem?   

Think of 2-3 specific people (or scenarios) where you’ve scene this problem occur.

Examples:  

Moms who are hungry for more but not sure what that looks like or how they will find the time.

Entrepreneurs who are no longer lit up by what they do and can’t figure out how to make a business out what they do love.   

Women in corporate careers who want to leave their 9-5 to spend their time making money on what they love.

What’s one or two words that describes the Group above?   

Pair one description word with their title.  

Examples that go with the above scenarios :

Restless Moms.  

Multi-passionate entrepreneurs.  

Confused career women.  

If you have several options, choose the one that feels most aligned with who you are talking to.  Trust yourself… you will have a visceral reaction.

What is one descriptive scenario this group finds themselves in…  

you can use one of the ones you wrote out.

Now put these three answers together.   

Examples:

Life coaching for restless moms who are hungry for more, but they are not sure what that looks like or how they will find the time.

Business mentor for multi-passionate entrepreneurs who are no longer lit up by what they do and can’t figure out how to make a business out what they do love.

Life coach for confused career women who want to leave their 9-5 to spend their time making money on what they love.

Ta-da and now you have the makings of clear and connectable content.
